Side By Customs was started back in 2013 up in Tremonton, Utah when I (Brady Munns) bought a Wildcat 1000 that nobody was building parts for. I grew up in the sheet metal fabrication world and had the dreams and ideas to move forward on building parts for these new “top of the line” machines. We started with windshields, roofs, roof racks and bed racks in the back corner of my father’s fabrication shop. We even started into some roof racks for pickups and made it down into the SEMA Show several years in a row.
As we can all see and remember, the original Wildcat 1000 did not turn out to be as “cutting edge” as we thought it would be. As several years went by doing odd jobs, I was staying busy in the industry doing custom fab work and building parts that nobody else would or could around me.
In 2016 we hit a gold mine with the new Polaris General. With all the products we were to build for this machine, it launched us to the next level of our business. With the success of the General parts, we were able to move south down to Ogden (2017) to be a little more central to customers, shipping, boxes, powder coat, etc..
In 2020 I moved into the same shop as my new powder coater and that made life significantly easier, not having to run across town with thousands of dollars of products. That began the relationship with Shawn and Heather Boushele, who are now currently invested into the business and helping me grow this as quick and steady as we can.
When we started production items, we started with the rock sliders, then bed racks, we designed windshields for the Generals, roofs, and roof racks. The evolution of the General parts and accessories in our lineup has become pretty impressive and unmatched in the industry. Nobody out there builds our caliber of products across the board, with that many products for this machine. We are continuing building products for new machines and getting them up and live on the website as they become available. SBC is the industry leader in rock sliders and vehicle protection under your machine. We have access to some of the best skid plates on the market that pair very well with our rock sliders. We are currently working on new products daily for the new XP Pros, Rangers, Commanders, X3s, Teryx, KRX and more.
